Daniel checked in for the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. We had a new rent rod charter group with super nice guys. Our 28 passengers ended up with 234 rockfish, 23 sculpin, 22 calico bass, 54 barracuda, and 10 halibut. We had some really good rockfishing in the morning and just did some bottom fishing to kind of get everybody with the program. We picked up some nice barracuda and bass for a while and then did a few good halibut drifts at the end of the day. Daniel has the latest fish report for you below.

Daniel checked in for the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. Light load, about 16 guys. We had a quick limit to rockfish by about 11, 11:15 in the morning, and then we focused on surface stuff for the rest of the day. Ended up catching 66 barracuda and 21 legal bass, along with a bunch of shorts and stuff. Final fish count for the day, 160 rockfish, 7 whitefish, 3 sheephead, 66 barracuda, and 21 calico bass.

We are chartered tomorrow, but we have plenty of room on Sunday and Monday.

We had 20 passengers, and they ended up with 9 halibut, 20 or 25 barracuda, about 13 calico bass, and a few rockfish and whitefish. Pretty good fishing today. We did a bunch of halibut fishing and also some surface stuff, and had good action on the barracuda and bass. We didn't keep that much, but it was a lot of fun surface fishing, throwing back most of that barracuda and bass, but it was a good time. Daniel has the latest fish report for you below.

Ended up getting our bass there pretty early. We're done, finished up at 11:30, so pretty good fishing here. Yesterday, I did the same thing. Got limits of bass pretty quick. We threw up a halibut or bust trip for Wednesday, it's going to be a three-quarter day, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. We've had really good halibut fishing the last few weeks on these trips, with about a fish per rod or over. On Thursday we have the Western Outdoor News Islands shootout. There's still a lot of room on that trip to get on the Island Spirit for Thursday. Sal checked in from Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. We added an Overnight Trip On The Pacific Eagle departing Friday the 11th returning Saturday 12th. The pacific eagle will be targeting white seabass , halibut and yellowtail.

We caught some bass, some barracuda, whitefish, sheephead, and got a nice bonus yellowtail, about 25 pounds.
