Cody checked in from the Island Spirit out of Ventura Harbor Sportfishing with a wrap-up report from their full-day trip. They spent much of the morning searching for white seabass but couldn’t get a bite. The rest of the day was spent bottom fishing, and everyone caught fish to take home. For 18 anglers, the catch included 83 Rockfish, 17 Whitefish, 11 Sculpin, and 1 Lingcod.

 They’re heading out again tomorrow with plenty of open spots and expect fishing to improve after the recent weather.
