Cody checking in from the Island Spirit out Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. It was steady fishing here today for our group of 33 passengers. We spent the morning fishing 200-250 feet of water for rockfish, then slid inside to shallow water later in the afternoon to catch whitefish, sheephead, one nice haliut at the end of the day. Our 33 passengers ended up with 205 rockfish, 148 whitefish, 1 halibut, 1 sheephead, 1 lingcod, and a rock sole. Cody has the full report for you below.

Cody checking in from the Island Spirit out Ventura Harbor Sportfishing. Just got back in a litlle bit ago from a fun day of fishing with beautiful weather at the island. We spent most of the day surface fishing with a lot of legal and short bass and barracuda mixed in for the day. We then did some bottom fishing at the end.  Our counts for this trip for 21 passengers were 17 calico bass, 13 barracuda, 1 yellowtail, 1 halibut, 1 bonito, 43 whitefish, 11 rockfish, and 4 sculpin. 

 Next available open party is Friday. This trip is a GO!
